How do I stop pop-up windows from opening every time I start my computer or my Windows Media Player?

When using your Windows Media Player to listen to your favorite radio stations, web browser pop-up windows such as advertisements might open.  Please take note, the radio stations control whether any windows are opened and what web pages are displayed, not your Windows Media Player.  Other than this scenario, Windows Media Player does not open browser pop-up windows.

If pop-up windows open automatically when you start your computer or Windows Media Player, or if your Windows Media Player starts each time you re-start computer, check to see if Spyware or other covert software is installed on your computer.

Run any detection scan you may have from your IP or other trusted detection software provider to locate and delete any unwanted files on your computer.
