It is a reality that bandwidth is the monetary unit of measurement when it comes to the internet. Radio stations with large online audiences have rapidly realized their costs of streaming can rise to extremely large monthly fees.

BRM takes a different approach to pricing bandwidth so that large audience streaming stations pay a more reasonable monthly fee.

BRM has created a bandwidth purchasing model called Market Based Cluster Groups or MBCG for short. Within this proprietary formula of bandwidth utilization we place one high volume bandwidth station in a cluster of several smaller streaming bandwidth stations.

Radio network stations are generally subject to the formation of their own cluster groups and single stations are clustered with other single stations. Statistical averaging and cluster group usage allow BRM to purchase the required total network bandwidth in advance and in bulk. We solve network problems using network solutions thus keeping the fees to each station as low as possible.

Barnabas Road does not use Virtual Multicast Routing or the patented technology from Chaincast Networks, Inc. VMR technology uses the PC of the listener and the listener’s internet bandwidth to forward the streams of the broadcaster on to other radio station online listeners. We do not believe this to be an ethical streaming media practice.
